IELTS Speaking Part One Homework

Write as many different ways of answering each question as you can into each gap (making sure of course that each answer is true about you!)

Examiner: Hi, come in please. Take a seat. Can I see your ID?

You: __________________________________________________________

Examiner: Thank you. My name’s John and I am your examiner today. Can I check how to pronounce your name?

You: __________________________________________________________

Examiner: First I’d like to ask you some questions about yourself. Is that okay?

You: _____________________________________________________________

Examiner: First of all, let’s talk about your hometown. Are you from Seoul?

You: _________________________________________________________

Examiner: Would you say your hometown is a good place to live in?

You: _________________________________________________________

Examiner: Would you like to retire there?

You: _________________________________________________________

Examiner: Why/ why not?

You: _________________________________________________________

Examiner: Okay. Let’s move on and talk about your work and studies. Are you working or are you a student?

You: __________________________________________________________

Examiner: Do you enjoy that subject/ job?

You: __________________________________________________________

Examiner: Why/ why not?

You: __________________________________________________________

Examiner: What would you like to do in the future?

You: __________________________________________________________

Examiner: Okay, thank you. Now I’m going to ask you to speak for one or two minutes…

Rewrite the dialogue below so that the same questions are asked but using different words and with your answers also using different words (you can give different information in your answers if you like, as long as the answer is still true)
