Instructions for teachers
Students take turns taking cards to make sentences for themselves or the whole class to draw. For example, if they pick the “It is a”, “pink” and “ghost” cards, then they can draw one pink ghost or if they pick the “They are”, “red”, “girl” and “-s” cards, everyone must draw at least two red girls.
It can be played with cards face down, but if students are still developing their reading skills it is just as good with the cards spread across the table face up. The blank cards mean students are free to choose any object they like to draw. If students can’t read the object cards, they can just say that part, e.g. picking the “It is a” and “purple” cards and then saying “dog” to make everyone draw one purple dog.
