Candidate
The examiner works for a trading company and you are thinking of using them to help you sell your products in a new market. He/ She has come to your office so that you can ask questions about their services and costs. Please enquire about:
– Their help in finding customers and transporting your products
– Reasons for using their services rather than doing it all yourself
– Costs involved
And any other information you think is relevant.
Then discuss this question with the examiner:
What would be the most difficult thing for a foreign company trying to sell products in your country for the first time, do you think?

Examiner
You work for a trading company and the candidate is thinking about using your services to help them launch their products in a new country. Use the following answers to their questions, making up any other answers you need.
– Help you offer – You deal with all the import paperwork and duties, find local wholesalers and retailers, and provide help during visits by managers from abroad. You don’t help with international shipping.
– Benefits of using your company – You understand the local market and culture
– Costs – A mix of fixed costs and commission based on sales, renegotiable two years after the initial agreement
