Copy and cut up the phonics cards from the back of the teacher’s book (without the words), then spread them across the floor or table(s). Students try to find two words which have something in common, e.g. “It’s a spot. It’s a pot. They are –ot words”. The game could be played twice, once with the cards face up and once with them face down (actual pelmanism).
