Instructions for students
Read out the whole text below, then cover one of the words with a slip of paper. Your partner must read the same text out including the missing word. Repeat until you’ve covered the whole text, the teacher stops you, or you give up.
After finishing, without looking at the text again try to remember words and phrases with these functions:

Check with the text, then brainstorm more words and phrases with the same functions into the spaces above.
