Instructions for teachers
Choose which version below you want to use and cut up one set per class or per group of two to four students. Note that Monday is taken to be the first day of the week, so you’ll need to make your own version if you want to do the in line version starting the week with Sunday.
Ask students to work together to put the cards into a line or circle (depending on what version you are using) with the days of the week in order and spelled correctly. After they have done that and checked their answers, they could:
- Race to do it as quickly as possible on their own
- Do it with one card missing, putting the cards into order and then saying which letters are missing on both sides
- Play an actual game of dominoes, but either starting with just one card in their hand or playing with two or more sets mixed up together
- Do the written exercises below
- Test each other on the spelling of the words
- Make their own set of dominoes split in a different way for another group to play with
