Take Off 2 Unit 17.2

Warmer idea

Wrap something in a tissue, paper towel, etc. After some revision such as asking each other personal questions as you throw it to each other, ask the next student “What’s in the tissue/ paper towel/ …?” Then get students to wrap other things in the classroom and ask each other the same question.

Pick and draw instructions for teachers

Decide if you want to include the plural nouns cards or just the singular cards and “-s”, and if you want to use a range of different prepositions or just “in”, then cut up the right cards.

Students spread the cards across the table and do one or more of these things:

  • Make a question and answer to match what they want to draw
  • Make a question and answer to match what they want someone else to draw
  • Make a question that they want someone to answer and then draw the answer of
  • Make a question for someone else to answer for the questioners to draw the answer of
  • Secretly make a question and an answer and draw it for their partner to guess the question and answer from

Students can make sensible and/ or silly questions and answers
