Spread the cards face down across the table. Take two cards and read out the words as a sentence, e.g. “I’m sad and (I’m) hungry”. Your partner should try to think of one thing that could match both situations, e.g. “Do you want a big hamburger?” If you feel that you really would want that (one) thing in those two situations, then say “Yes, I do” and give your partner the two cards. If not, say “No, I don’t (because…)” and put the cards back in the same places face down on the table. Take turns doing the same until you finish all the cards or your teacher stops the game. If you pick two cards that are the same, then just say “I am…” about that one thing and your partner only has to match that one situation to get both cards.
