Instructions

Put the left hand and right hand cards together to make basic phrases.

Add the middle column (cards in bold) to check and expand your answers.

Check with the answer key.

Read the long version and see if your partner can remember the short version.

Read the short version and see if your partner can remember the long version.

Read the middle part and see if your partner can remember the long version.

Read the left and middle columns and see if your partner can remember the whole phrase.

Read the middle and right columns and see if your partner can remember the whole phrase.

Give the name of a function (e.g. “Explaining your aim”) and help your partner come up with as many phrases as they can with that function.
