2021-style invitations lesson

Of all the pre-COVID materials I’ve had to use in the last 15 months, probably the least successful was a lesson where students responded to almost all invitations with “I can’t because of coronavirus” and “Maybe when COVID is gone”. It was quite tricky to rewrite that for a situation where restrictions are changing all the time and online I sometimes have students in places with different restrictions in the same class, but I think I’ve managed it:

Covid-compliant invitations lesson

Includes suggestions for COVID-compliant socialising (some of which my students genuinely said “That’s a great idea, I might try that” to), and roleplays including every level of freedom or lockdown.
