How would Scottish independence affect the British Council?

The only thing I could think of is that the rump British Council might start skipping that Headway unit about Hamish McSporran the man with twelve jobs. Sure there must be more serious possible consequences though, and the BC page on the topic clearly shows their worry coming through.

I foresee a wave of recriminations and considerable backlash if the Scots vote for independence – which I’m more and more convinced they should. The BC for their part will cease to promote Scottish universities, etc or charge extra for an increasingly mediocre service.

I think you’ll find it’s Seumas. God, I hate him, almost as much as Dan Bratt’s wife.

Thanks Andrew, getting the real name helped me tracked down where I got into a spat with Liz Soars about him:

Who was Dan Bratt’s wife again?
